How Many Solar Panels?
How many solar panels you fit will depend on the size and orientation of your roof.
We recommend in Orkney to fit as many panels up the maximum recommended rating of the inverter. We recommend Solis Hybrid inverters for grid tied systems as we have found them to be reliable and easy for customers to understand with their 7” colour display.
A 3.6kW inverter will accept a max 7kW of DC input (18x 385W panels) that will give maximum yield during the winter months.
