How big can my system be?
Solar PV systems are Micro Generators connected directly (On Grid) or remotely (Off Grid).
SSEN are the DNO (Distribution Network Operator) for Orkney and due to constraints on the grid SSEN are only allowing G98 installations at present. The maximum permitted size of your micro generator is determined by the size of the inverter not the size of the arrays connected to it.
G98 connections are a max 3.68kWp (16A). Anything above this up to 50kWp comes under G99 connections.
